Who’s blogging??

“There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were, and ask why not.” ~ Robert Kennedy.

Words are my passion. I wrote my first story when I was a 6. I was that kid who spent recess at the school library. I’ve always been a nerd, and growing into a doctor was just the natural course.

I’m Egyptian, living in Cairo, and though I’ve been on Earth for two decades (and a handful of years), that little child in me loves playing with kids (not when they cry!), quarrels with her younger sister, and goes all irresponsible and clumsy.. A naïve girl who believes in serendipities and happy endings..

The grown-up me, however, is a little obsessive, very classic and works on being faithful and realistic enough to cope with this insane world..

Best of luck,

Sara Helal

  1. “Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction.” ..

You are a genius Sara ! .. Keep it up 😉

  2. Hello,

I am an old doctor who also writes. I also played semiprofessional mandolin all my adult life. My book, “The Mandolin Case,” is a medical legal mystery resolved by bluegrass musicians. I encourage you to continue to express yourself. To deal with it all without art would have been difficult. Keep up the good work.
